Apple Walnut Cake With Caramel Glaze |

This is soo easy...and it melts in your mouth. The cake recipe is from a friend and the caramel glaze for apple cakes comes from my MIL. Thanks guys! Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 cup canola oil |
4 cups apples, cored, peeled, and diced |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients together for the cake and put in a 13 by 9 pan sprayed with crisco spray for baking. Bake for one hour. Let cool. In a med skillet or saucepan, bring all the topping ingredients to a boil and boil for three minutes. Pour over cooled cake. |
