This makes four 6-inch tarts to serve 16 people - so delicious, just a simple apple tart - m-m-m-m good!!
Ingredients:
1 lb pastry dough, cholled
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter
3 apples, peeled, cored and cut in thin half circles
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
2. Roll out the pastry into four 6-inch circles, 1/8 inch thick. Place on baking sheets,.
3. In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the pastry with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture and dot with half the butter. Arrange the apple slices overlappng in a circular pattern and covering the entire surface of the pastry.
4. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar and dot with the remaining butter. Bake for 15 minutes or until the apples are cooked through and browned on the edges.
5. Serve straight from the oven.
