APPLE STRAWBERRY SPINACH SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Carr Estate in Bonham, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon |
1 small red onion grated |
3/4 cup fresh bean sprouts |
1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries |
2 cups chopped unpeeled granny smith apples |
1 pound fresh spinach torn |
dressing |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1/3 cup white wine vinegar |
3/4 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. In large salad bowl combine all salad ingredients and toss gently.
2. Combine dressing ingredients and just before serving pour over salad and toss gently.
