Apple Spice Rice

Onion, garlic, apple and raisins add a unique flavor to long grain rice.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup long grain rice
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small tart apple - peeled, cored and diced
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in rice, onion, garlic, apple and raisins. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 16 to 18 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
