extra flavorful fruity pancakes with not too much sugar Ingredients:
1 apple |
1t butter |
1 c. white flour |
1 c. wheat flour |
1 t. baking powder |
2 t. sugar |
1 t. vanilla |
1tsp nutmeg |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/2 tsp cloves |
3/4 c. milk |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. melt butter 2. dice apple and sautee' in butter with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg 3. mix dry ingredients 4. mix milk, egg and vanilla 5. add to dry ingredients, mix until relatively smooth (sometimes you may need to add more milk if the batter seems too thick) 6. add the sautee'd apples and butter 7. cook on a griddle or skillet as you would for any other pancake (turn when batter bubbles on top, they are done when the cooked side feels soft to the touch) |
