Love, love, love recipes using cake mixes as starting points especially when they sound THIS good! From . Ingredients:
1 packaged spice cake mix |
2 medium apples, peeled and chopped |
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk |
8 ounces sour cream |
1/4 cup lemon juice |
ground cinnamon, optional |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F..
2. Grease and flour a 13x9 baking dish.
3. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
4. Stir in apples.
5. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes OR until center tests done with toothpick.
7. In medium bowl combine sweetened condensed milk and sour cream.
8. Mix well and stir in lemon juice.
9. Remove cake from oven and spread sour cream over hot cake evenly.
10. Return to oven and bake for 5 minutes OR until set.
11. Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional).
12. Cool.
13. Chill.
14. Store leftovers, covered, in refrigerated.
