Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs, beaten |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 cup regular oats, uncooked |
1 1/2 cups chopped, peeled apple |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
sifted powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening in a large mixing bowl; gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well. Add eggs, and beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices in a small mixing bowl; gradually add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Stir in next 4 ingredients, mixing well. 2. Press mixture into a greased 15- x 10- x 1-inch jellyroll pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cool; sprinkle with powdered sugar, and cut into 2- x 1-inch bars. |
