This is from a Weight Watchers ad. I love that it adds some veggies to a ham sandwich. The original recipe called for Weight Watchers spreadable cheese wedges but the recipe builder didn't know what that was, so I subbed cream cheese. I am sure it would be great, you could even use a flavored cream cheese. Ingredients:
3/4 cup shredded cabbage, blend |
1/2 cup chopped apple |
2 tablespoons chopped green onions, green part only |
2 tablespoons prepared light coleslaw dressing |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
4 tablespoons light cream cheese |
8 slices whole wheat bread |
12 sliced honey ham |
1 dash pepper |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl combine coleslaw blend, apple, onion, dressing, ginger and pepper, mix to combine. 2. Spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese on each of 4 slices of bread. Top with 1/4 cup of coleslaw mixture, 3 slices of ham and top with a second slice of bread. |
