Apples for the fall. By the way today is the fall.
Ingredients:
5 or 6 medium size apples
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
dough
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsps. baking powder
6 tbsps. shortening
1/2 c. milk
Directions:
1. Peel apples and chop fine.
2. Put sugar and water in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, boil about 5 minutes.
3. Roll out dough 1/4 inch thick, spread with chopped apples, dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
4. Roll up like jelly roll and cut into slices.
5. Place cut side down in pan of hot syrup.
6. Bake at 425 until brown.
