This is a spicy yummy healthy cookie that your kids and you will enjoy. I am trying to concoct a breakfast cookie for on-the-go mornings. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
2/3 cup white sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups applesauce |
3/4 cup canned pumpkin |
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 1/2 cups oatmeal |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla together add apples and pumpkin and mix. 2. add dry ingrdients and mix. 3. Batter will be moist. 4. place by rounded tablespoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets. 5. makes 3 dozen cookies. 6. Bake cookies in preheated 350 degree overn for 12 to 15 minutes. |
