Homemade breakfast sausage for those Sunday morning Fall breakfasts. 1lb. recipe can be doubled or tripled with ease. Can be made into patties or links. Sausage freezes well. We bought a house with a Northern Spy apple tree and ended up with tons of apples. Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork |
1 apple |
2 teaspoons ground sage |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon kosher salt |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon white pepper |
1/3 cup apple cider |
Directions:
1. Grate apple using a cheese grater. 2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix using hands to thoroughly integrate all the ingredients. 3. Form into links or patties. |
