a splendid after-school liquid snack like this apple pie smoothie will go down well for hungry children. At the same time, it's a healthy low-fat alternative to soda pop or other highly processed snacks. Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup unsweetened applesauce |
1 cup low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
4 ice cubes |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients except ice into blender container. Cover and process until smooth. With motor runnig, remove feeder cap and add ice cubes. Continue to process until smooth. 2. Pour into tall glass to serve. 3. Makes 1 serving. |
