Apple Pie Cake With Rum Butter Sauce

This cake is so good and so moist. Give it a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons hot water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups peeled diced cooking apples
1/2 cup chopped pecans
rum butter sauce
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon rum
Directions:
1. Cream butter then gradually add sugar beating at medium speed of an electric mixer.
2. Add egg and beat until blended.
3. Combine flour, salt and cinnamon and mix well then add to creamed mixture and beat on low speed of electric mixer until smooth.
4. Stir in water in vanilla then fold in apples and pecans and spoon into greased floured pie plate.
5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
6. Serve warm with sauce.
7. For sauce combine first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan mix well.
8. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute then stir in rum.
