Apple creme Pie Ingredients:
apple filling |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoon flour |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 tablespoon lemon,zest,grated |
5 cups apples,peeled and sliced |
2 tablespoons butter |
creme sauce |
2 eggs,beaten |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
3 oz cream cheese,cut in pieces |
1/2 cup sour cream |
two pie crust |
one placed in pie plate,the second crust with a cookie cutter cut out in the center. |
Directions:
1. Pie filling: 2. Combine sugar,flour,cinnamon,nutmeg and lemon zest in a bowl. 3. Add apples and stir to coat. 4. Place in pie shell and dot with butter. 5. Place second crust over apples and seal. 6. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degress and then for 30 to 35 minutes at 375 degrees. 7. While the pie is baking cook the creme sauce: 8. In a saucepan combine eggs,sugar and lemon juice. 9. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. 10. Add cream cheese and sour cream. 11. After the pie is baked,spoon the sauce through the cut out on top crust. 12. Chill before serving. |
