This is an apple pie recipe that I made when I was in school. Ingredients:
6 large tart cooking apples |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine |
Directions:
1. (Makes on 9 double crust pie) 2. Pare, core and slice apples and place in a pastry-lined plate. 3. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar, cinnamon and flour. 4. Dot with butter. 5. Place top crust over filling. Seal the edges and flute with fork or fingers. 6. Bake in a hot oven 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until apples are cooked. |
