This is the best bread pudding recipe! The ingredients make a rich and filling bread pudding studded with raisins and pecans. This pudding is sure to be a highlight at any gathering. Ingredients:
1 cup milk |
1 cup half and half |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1 loaf sweet bread, sliced |
5 eggs, beaten |
1 21-ounce can apple pie filling |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup chopped pecans (reserving 1/4 cup for the topping |
2 tsp. of cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Heat milk, sugar and butter until butter melts. 2. Add half and half and stir. 3. Remove from heat and set aside. 4. Line a 9-by-13-inch pan with bread slices. Sprinkle raisins and pecans over bread. 5. Top with pie filling. 6. (sprinkle with a few more pecans!) 7. Add eggs to milk mixture and pour over ingredients in pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
