I got thisone out of the local newspaper, looks delicious Ingredients:
inside ingredients |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar |
3 tbsp chopped pecans |
2 apples |
1 firm but ripe pear |
cake ingredients |
1 1/2 cups flour |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
1 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp ginger |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/3 cup butter; softened |
1 egg |
3/4 cup buttermilk |
1 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F oven. 2. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pan. 3. Add butter and melt in oven. 4. Stir in brown sugar and spread evenly. 5. Sprinkle with pecans 6. Peel, core and thinly slice apples and pear. 7. Toss together and arrange over sugar mixture. 8. CAKE: 9. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt. 10. Add butter, egg, buttermilk and vanilla. 11. With an electric mixer beat at low speed until moistened. 12. Spoon over fruit and spread evenly. 13. Bake for 45 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. 14. Let cook for 10 minutes. 15. Run knife around edges and carefully invert onto a plate, replacing any bits that my stick to the pan. 16. Serve warm |
