Very easy, delicious cobbler with amazing caramel sauce. Ingredients:
6 pears |
6 granny smith apples |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups self-rising flour |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
12 1/2 ounces caramel syrup |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup water |
1/2 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Peel and core the apples and pears. 3. Place apples and pears into a sauce pan add 1/2 cup sugar, stick of butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup water. 4. Saute for 5 minutes. 5. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup buttermilk. 6. pour over fruit and sprinkle with nutmeg. 7. to make the caramel sauce, combine the jar of caramel syrup, brown sugar, water and butter in a saucepan and heat. 8. Serve the cobbler with vanilla ice cream and pour the caramel overall and serve warm. |
