Apple Nut Bread

A nice coffee bread.
Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar
1 cup oil
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 cups apples (peeled and diced)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Beat together white sugar, oil, and eggs for 3-4 minutes; set aside.
2. Sift together flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon.
3. Add vanilla and egg-sugar mixture.
4. Stir until mixed.
5. Fold in apples and nuts.
6. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 5x9-inch loaf pans.
7. Bake 1 hour at 325°F until toothpick comes out dry.
8. Stir together remaining ingredients over low heat until smooth and pour over hot loaves.
