A low fat dessert bar. Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
2 cups apples, chopped, unpeeled |
1/4 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, whisk egg whites, sugar and vanilla for about 1 1/2 minute. Add flour and baking powder, whisk for 1 minute. Fold in the apples and pecans. 2. Pour into an 8-inch square baking pan coated with non-stick cooking spray. 3. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until the bars test done. |
