APPLE NUGGET CAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Lynch Estate in Garland, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 cup vegetable oil |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
3 cups flour |
2 cups granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
3 cups chopped apples |
1 cup white raisins |
20 ounce can chunk pineapple well drained |
1 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs then add oil and vanilla and beat well. 2. Sift dry ingredients together then add to egg mixture and mix well. 3. Stir in fruit and nuts. 4. Pour into well greased tube pan then bake at 350 for 50 minutes. 5. Cool in pan 30 minutes then remove from pan and cool on wire rack. |
