Recipe by: Cindy R. for delcious spin on this sweet pasta dish used for a dessert or a side dish. Baked, chilled and served Ingredients:
2 c shredded cheddar cheese |
1 c ricotta cheese |
1 egg; lightly beaten |
1/4 c sugar |
1 ts almond extract |
2 20 oz. cans apple pie filling |
8 lasagna noodles, cooked; rinsed |
6 tb all-purpose flour |
6 tb packed brown sugar |
1/4 c quick-cooking oats |
1/2 ts ground cinnamon |
ds ground nutmeg |
3 tb margarine |
1 c dairy sour cream |
1/3 c packed brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Prep does not include chill time 2. Combine Cheddar cheese, ricotta cheese, egg, granulate sugar and almond extract in medium bowl; blend well. 3. Spread 1 can apple pie filling over bottom of greased 13x9 pan. 4. Layer 1/2 of the noodles over filling, then spread cheese mixture over noodles. 5. Top with remaining noodles, then remaining can of apple pie filling. 6. Combine flour, 6 Tbls brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl. 7. Cut in margarine until crumbly. 8. Sprinkle over apple pie filling. 9. Bake in preheated 350F oven 45 minutes. 10. Cool 15 minute. 11. Meanwhile, prepare garnish by blending sour cream and 1/3 cup brown sugar in small bowl until smooth. 12. Cover; refrigerate. 13. To serve, cut lasagna into square and garnish with sour cream mixture. |
