mom's apple kugel Ingredients:
8 matzos |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 eggs |
6 apples, grated on large holes |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 dash cinnamon, to taste |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. Pour hot water over the broken matzos. Let soak. Press out water and add salt. Add the eggs. 3. Mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon. 4. Grease an 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Layer ingredients: matzo, apple, matzo. Sprinkle with cinnamon. 5. Bake for an hour or until done. |
