Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 cup apple cider |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and apple cider in a medium saucepan. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cover and cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes to wash down sugar crystals from sides of pan. Uncover and cook, without stirring, until mixture reaches soft crack stage (290°). Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice. 2. Drop syrup by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, keeping remaining syrup over low heat. Cool until set, and twist each candy into a stick. Place on a wire rack to cool completely. Wrap each stick in waxed paper. |
