Very nice and tasty dessert that everyone seems to love. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 medium golden apples peeled and cored |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/4 cup vanilla cookie crumbs |
1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts |
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ginger |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Cut off about 1/4 inch from each end of apples then cut each apple crosswise into thick slices. In square microwave safe dish melt butter. Combine crumbs, 1 tablespoon nuts, cinnamon and ginger. Dip apple slices in butter then coat with crumbs. Place apples in same baking dish. Combine remaining nuts, brown sugar and 1-1/2 teaspoon water then spoon some mixture into center of each apple slice. Cook covered with waxed paper on high for 5 minutes rotating dish halfway through cooking. Serve on top of caramel and garnish with a few extra nuts. |
