Ingredients:
2 eggs, separated |
1 cup milk |
1 tablespoon brandy |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
3 cooking apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced |
butter or margarine, melted |
sifted powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Add milk and brandy, beating well. Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff peaks form; gently fold into flour. 2. Dip apple slices in batter. Fry in hot butter until golden brown and tender, turning once. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
