4 cups dried apples |
2 2/3 cups water |
1/2 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine apples and water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes or until tender. Cool. 2. Mash apples slightly, and stir in sugar. Cool filling completely. 3. Note: Flavor of stack cake is enhanced when stored for several days. |
