I was given this recipe on a scrapbook retreat. We stayed at a bed and breakfast and the innkeeper gies out the recipes for the things she makes during the stay on the last day. It was served for breakfast but would be good for dessert too, with ice cream Ingredients:
8 flour tortillas |
1 (16 ounce) can cinnamon apple pie filling |
3/4-1 cup powdered sugar |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 tablespoons cinnamon |
1/4 cup butter |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 tablespoon milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and no lumps are visible. 3. Place 2 TBSP cream cheese mixture and 2 TBSP apple pie filling on each of 8 tortillas. Roll up as you would an enchilada and place on a greased jellyroll pan or oblong cake pan. 4. Pour the melted butter over all. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the top. 5. Bake for approximately 20 minutes. 6. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes, frost (if desired) just before serving. |
