I made this recipe up when I wanted a semi-healthy dessert. Family LOVED it and didn't want me to share this, but I want other people to enjoy it. Ingredients:
3 apples (any kind, cubed small) |
20 egg roll wrappers |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
6 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons cinnamon |
5 cups oil |
1 cup heavy whipping cream |
1/4 cup sugar |
3 teaspoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saute pan. 2. Add Brown Sugar & Cinnamon. 3. Combine in pan. 4. Add Apples. 5. Saute until just tender. 6. Drain Apples. 7. Put 2 TBS of Apple in each wrapper and fold over, then fold side, put a dab of water on the corner before you roll the rest of the way to make it stick. 8. Heat oil until a drop of water will sizzle. 9. Slowly add rolls to oil. 10. Cook for 3 min or so. 11. Take out and drain. 12. Put whipping cream in a bowl and start to whip, as it starts to peak as sugar and cinnamon. 13. Add whipped cream on top of roll. 14. Serve cool or warm. |
