I found this recipe in Rachael Ray's magazine a couple of years ago. They are very simple and delicious. Ingredients:
flour for dusting |
1 8oz. can crescent rolls |
1 granny smith apple-- peeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges |
1 stick butter (4 oz.) |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 tsp. cinnamon |
3/4 cup mountain dew soda |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Dust your work area with flour. 3. Unfold and separate the crescent roll dough. 4. Place an apple wedge on the wide edge of each piece of dough and roll up. 5. Place the dumplings in an 8 square baking dish. 6. In a saucepan, melt the butter with the sugar and cinnamon over medium heat. 7. Stir in the Mountain Dew. 8. Pour the mixture over the dumplings. 9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. 10. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes. |
