Found this recipe in a paper and it sounds delicious. Ingredients:
2 apples |
1 -8 ounce pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup orange juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees and grease 8 inch baking dish. Peel and core apples, cut each apple into quarters. Unroll and separate cresant roll dough. Wrap each apple quarter in a cresant rol sprinkle with cinnamon. Combine butter, sugar and orange juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over dumpling . Finely chop pecans and sprinkle over top of dumpling. Bake 30 minutes or until crust golden and beginning to bubble and apples are tender when peirced with a fork. To serve spoon some of the sauce over the dumpling , serve with ice cream for that something extra dessert. |
