1 egg yolk |
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 pound soft butter |
5 tablespoons milk |
ingredients for the apple filling |
8 peeled and sliced apples |
3/4 cups sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
ingredients for crumb topping |
1/4 pound soft butter |
1 cup flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. For the Cake: 2. In bowl, cream the butter, sugar and egg. 3. Add the dry ingredients and add milk. 4. Mix well. 5. Grease a square baking pan. 6. Spread this dough to cover the bottom of the pan. 7. For the Filling: 8. Mix all together in a bowl. 9. Now, spread this mixture over the dough in the pan. 10. For the Topping: 11. Mix the crumb topping ingredients, and spread over the apples in the pan. 12. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 13. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cooled. |
