Ingredients:
8 granny smith apples peeled and quartered |
2 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup(s) brown sugar |
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice |
1/4 cup(s) maple syrup |
1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
1/4 cup(s) brown sugar |
4 ounce(s) kerrygold unsalted butter chilled and cut into small cubes |
1/2 cup(s) peanut brittle chopped |
1/4 cup(s) peanuts chopped |
vanilla ice cream |
kerrygold unsalted butter for greasing baking dish |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Rub butter to coat bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, mix all of the filling ingredients, toss to coat the apples, pour into baking dish. 3. Using a large bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, chilled and cubed butter, peanut brittle and peanuts. 4. Using both hands, combine until the butter mixture forms small lumps. 5. Sprinkle over apple filling, bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes. 6. Serve with vanilla ice cream. |
