Apple crisp served with ice cream. Ingredients:
4 medium tart apples, sliced |
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine, melted |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats |
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine, softened |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
ice cream, if desired |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375°F Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan. 2. Let apples soak in the melted butter a few minutes. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl; pour over the apples and mix together. Spread apples in pan. 3. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except cream until well mixed; sprinkle over apples. 4. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream. |
