A sure winner. I always make this on request and never have leftovers. Awesome if eaten hot with vanilla ice cream. I usually make with less sugar - I use 1 cup each rather than 1 1/2 cup.
Ingredients:
8 cups apples
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup flour
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter
Directions:
1. Peel, core and slice apples.
2. Mix apples with salt, cinnamon and vanilla.
3. Put apples into 9x13 baking pan.
4. Combine topping ingredients (flour, sugars, butter and oatmeal) until crumbly.
5. Crumble topping evenly over apples.
6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
