We've had this recipe in our family for a long time. I pull it out whenever our apples start going bad, because it's a great way to use up apples. I always use whatever apple varieties we have on hand, most often yellow or red delicious. Ingredients:
4 cups apples, peeled and sliced into small pieces |
1/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup flour |
1/3 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Place apples in a baking dish and sprinkle with water, cinnamon, and salt. 2. In a bowl mix sugar, flour, and butter until crumbly. Spread crumb mixture over apples. 3. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes. |
