Ingredients:
1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats |
4 tablespoons packed light brown sugar |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
4 teaspoons cold reduced-calorie margarine |
6 firm coooking apples, peeled,cored and thinly sliced (granny smith) |
1 cup fresh cranberries or 1 cup frozen cranberries |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Spray a 8 square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. 3. In a small bowl, combine the oats, 2TBSP brown sugar and the flour. 4. With two knives or your fingers work in the margarine until crumbly. 5. In a large bowl, combine the apples, cranberries, the remaining 2 TBSP of brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg; toss to combine. 6. Spoon into the pan; sprinkle with the oats mixture. 7. Bake until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown, 35-40 minutes. |
