You can use other dried fruits in place of the cranberries although I haven't. Also, use nonfat cottage cheese to cut back the calories even more. The applesauce adds the moisture that nonfat cottage cheese needs. I use the recipe as a side for brunch menus. Guests always rave about it. Ingredients:
1/4 cup applesauce |
1/2 cup cottage cheese |
2 tablespoons dried cranberries |
cinnamon sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix the applesauce and cottage cheese. 2. Add the cranberries and stir. 3. Dust with cinammon sugar to taste. |
