A dessert that will disappear faster than it took to make it. Make 2 Ingredients:

3 eggs |
1 cup milk or heavy cream |
6 tbsp melted butter |
1 tsp vanilla |
2/3 cup flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 tsp salt |
4 tbsp butter |
4 tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
1/2 cup plus 2 tsp sugar |
2-3 tbsp brandy |
1tsp cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 2. For the batter: put eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, flour, sugar and salt in lender and blend until smooth. 3. Set aside. 4. Generously butter a 10 pie plate then set in oven to heat. 5. For the apples: melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add apples, 1/2 cup sugar and brandy and cook until apples are glazed and heated through (about 5 minutes). 6. Remove pie plate from oven and immediately pour in half the batter. 7. Arrange warm apple slices over batter, reserving juices, then pour remaining batter over apples. 8. Sprinkle remaining 2 tsp sugar and a little cinnamon over batter. 9. Bake until clafouti is golden and set in the middle (about 25-30 minutes). 10. Drizzle with warmed reserved pan juices. 11. Serve |
