From Cooking Light. August 2011 Ingredients:
1 medium tart apple, peeled and chopped |
1/2 cup applesauce |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided |
1 dash ground nutmeg |
1 (7 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated biscuits |
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
2 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the apple, applesauce, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg. Separate biscuits; roll out each into a 6-in. circle. 2. Place on a greased baking sheet. Place a heaping tablespoonful of apple mixture in the center of each. 3. Fold in half and pinch edges to seal. Brush with butter. 4. Combine sugar and remaining cinnamon; sprinkle over tops. 5. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Serve warm. |
