Puff pasty shapes filled with an Apple & Cinnamon filling. Dusted with Icing sugar after baking. Served with Cream or Ice Cream. Ingredients:

1 quantity shortcrust pastry |
2/3 cup pie apple |
2 teaspoons caster sugar |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 teaspoons sultanas |
1 tablespoon milk |
1 tablespoon icing sugar |

1/2 cup plain flour |
1/2 cup self-raising flour |
1 tablespoon caster sugar |
65 g butter (directly from fridge) |
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice |
1/4 cup chilled water |
Directions:
1. SWEET SHORTCRUST PASTRY. 2. Add flours and lemon juice and combine. 3. Next add the butter until mixed inches. 4. Gradually add the sugar and water until it is all mixed up. 5. Once all ingredients all combined, take the dough and mould it to your preferred shape. 6. Refrigerate until hardens. 7. APPLE AND CINNAMON MIXTURE. 8. In a bowl, combine together all ingredients. 9. In the bowl halve your mixture down the centre. 10. Now remove pastry from fridge. 11. Half the pastry and roll it out. 12. Place half your apple mixture to one side of the pastry. 13. Fold it in half and pinch together the sides or use a fork /back of a spoon. 14. Now repeat for the other half of the pastry and mixture. 15. Place it on a tray and bake in moderate oven for 20-25 minutes on or until golden brown. |
