This is a biscuit with a twist apple cider. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/3 cup cold butter or margarine |
3/4 cup apple cider |
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. 2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 3. Stir in cider just until moistened. 4. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times. 5. Roll out to 1/2-in. thickness; cut with a 2-in. biscuit cutter. 6. Place on ungreased baking sheets. 7. Sprinkle with cinnamon; pierce tops of biscuits with a fork. 8. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. 9. Serve warm. Yield: about 1 dozen. |
