4 red apples, unpeeled, cored and diced |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1 cup diced celery |
1 cup swiss cheese, shredded |
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon sharp prepared mustard |
salt and pepper |
lettuce leaf, washed and dried |
1/2 cup chopped filberts or 1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Put apples in a serving dish. 2. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Add celery and cheese. 3. Mix mayonnaise and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. 4. Add to apple mixture. Refrigerate 1 hour to blend flavors. 5. Serve in lettuce cups sprinkled with nuts. |
