From Tricia Hein at Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
4 cups applesauce |
3 cups zwieback toast crumbs |
3 tablespoons butter |
1/3 cup white sugar |
Directions:
1. Place sugar and butter in fry pan over med. heat. Stir until partly dissolved. Add crumbs, stirring constantly for several minutes. Place half of applesauce in a loaf pan and add crumb mixture, spreading carefully over applesauce. Place remainder of applesauce on top. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Frost with whipped cream and serve. |
