This is a very moist and rich apple cake. I've made it for many years. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
1 1/3 cups wesson oil |
2 cups sugar |
3 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon allspice |
3 cups chopped apples |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup raisins |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon lemon extract |
Directions:
1. Beat together all ingredients. 2. Pour into 2 square 8 x 8 pans, or 1 9 x 13 pan (spray pans with cooking spray first). 3. Bake 1/2 hour at 350, then turn oven down to 325 and bake for another half hour. |
