This cake is so easy to throw together, and even easier to make disappear!! It is very moist and flavorful. It is delicious warm from the oven, or served as a snack cake. My friend Trish gave me this recipe, and I know I have made it at least 50 times over the years. Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups sugar |
1 cup oil |
3 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 cups thinly sliced apples |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, oil, eggs, add vanilla. 2. Add dry ingredients, stir well. 3. Fold in apples and walnuts. 4. Spread into greased 11 x 7 pan, I prefer a glass baking pan for this cake. 5. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
