APPLE BUTTER PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Carr Estate in Bonham, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1/2 cup apple butter |
2 cups evaporated milk |
1 egg lightly beaten |
1 tablespoon all purpose flour |
9 inch unbaked pastry shell |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Combine apple butter, egg, sugar, flour and milk then mix well. 2. Pour into pie shell then sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 425 for 10 minutes. 3. Reduce temperature to 350 then bake 35 minutes then cool on write rack. 4. Store in refrigerator. |
