Ingredients:
2 cup(s) apple cider |
2 cup(s) apple vinegar |
8 pound(s) apples |
2 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar |
2 tablespoon(s) cinnamon |
1 tablespoon(s) ground cloves |
1 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
2 1/4 cup(s) white sugar |
Directions:
1. Quarter and core apples. Cook slowlyin the cider and vinegar until soft. Strain pulp and cook with sugars and spice, stirring frequently. Cook until pulp is done: if you remove a spoonful and hold it away from the heat for about 1 minute, and pulp remains in a mound on the spoon, it is done. Pour into prepared canning jars leaving1/2" headspace, Seal, and boil 5 minutes. |
