I have to admit this sounded a little strange when I saw the recipe, but I tried them and they are fabulous. Very moist and very fruity. Enjoy Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour |
2 cups granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 cups granny smith apples chopped and peeled |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1-1/4 cups vegetable oil |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
3 large eggs |
3/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 then grease a jelly roll pan. 2. Mix flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. 3. Whisk oil and eggs in another large bowl until blended and smooth. 4. Stir in sugar and vanilla then stir in flour mixture until blended. 5. Stir in apples, nuts and raisins then spread evenly in prepared pan and bake 40 minutes. 6. Let cool completely on wire rack then cut into squares. |
