Apple And Pecan Filled Squash |

One of my favorite side dishes. This is awesome. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. Ingredients:
2 medium acorn squash |
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup melted butter |
1 cup chopped unpeeled apple |
1/4 cup toasted chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Cut squash in half them remove seeds. Place squash cut side up in a shallow baking dish. Add 1/2 inch boiling water to pan. Combine brown sugar, butter and chopped apples then spoon into squash shells. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Sprinkle the filled squash with pecans. |
